Filled with top-of-the line shops and restaurants, anticipating the expansion to include Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill, Charming Charlie, Everything but Water, Chipotle, Sunglass World, and H&M, the Destin Common’s has a lot to celebrate this summer. The Destin Commons will host the Fourth Annual Smoke on the Coast and Fireworks Festival on July 3, 2014 in coordination with the opening of the new stores. The event will include street performers, face-painting, children’s activities, and live bands such as Heritage, The Maxx, Chris Alvarado, Jones and Company, Coconut Radio, and DJ. Twenty-three area restaurants and BBQ aficionados will fire up grills and prepare their best dishes. The event will be starting at 6 pm and for only $1 per sampling, you can catch a taste of the area’s best cuisine. You will also get to vote for The People’s Choice Award Winner’s contest! All proceeds from the event will benefit local military and children’s charities. The evening will come to the end with the lighting up of the beautiful Emerald Coast night sky. Shuttles will run from the Destin Worship Center and the Mattie Kelly Arts Center parking areas. So, come out and celebrate our nations Independence Day at the Destin Commons!
