If you're going to be in the area during St. Patrick's Day this year, you're in for a treat. The entire Destin/30A locale will don their green and shamrocks to ring in St. Paddy's with the following 4 events that you don't want to miss!
1. Lucky Leprechaun 5k/10k Run: March 14th
Warm up for a fun-filled week of good cheer with a nice 5k or 10k run just off of the Emerald Coast, March 14th, in Fort Walton Beach. If you’re an overachiever, sign yourself up for Northwest Florida Track Club's inaugural Lucky Leprechaun Half Marathon the following day, March 15th, when you register at itsyourrace.com.
Search for Lucky Leprechaun 5k/10k or sign up at Run With It in Ft. Walton Beach. Those running on both Saturday and Sunday will receive a custom beach towel! Half-marathon finisher medals will be awarded to all 13.1-mile finishers.
2. St. Paddy’s Day Family Party: March 15th
Celebrate the luck of the Irish at HarborWalk Village, Sunday, March 15th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. - and bring the kids and fur babies! Enjoy an afternoon of live performances, crafts, a leprechaun treasure hunt, and a Pup of the Irish costume contest! Register for the pup contest with a bag of dry dog food or pay $5 to be donated to charity. Parking is $10.
3. St. Paddy’s Day Delight: March 17th
Take the party over to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for St. Paddy’s Day Delight, kicking off at 6 p.m with live jazz and blues by The Blenders. Enjoy the whimsical scenery, catch all the vendor deals, and make sure you wear green! You’ll be in for authentic performances, brought to you straight from the Isles of Ireland.
4. McGuire's St. Patrick's Day Extravaganza: March 17th
If you’ve ever caught wind of things to do in Destin, you know that McGuire’s is the pinnacle of all things luck of the Irish. Celebrate at the Gulf Coast’s largest St. Patrick’s Day party and indulge in green beer, your favorite foods, and the best entertainment. The celebration kicks off at 10:30 a.m. and will roll early-morning hours. Live music brought to you by Brooks Hubbert, Pete O’Dea, Mat Hall, Shenanigans, A Drunker Shade O’ Green, DJ Taz, DJ Zoran, DJ Ghost, and DJ Q-Money.
