Sassy Seagull was the perfect place for our party of 7. Upon our arrival, we found a beautiful snack in the fridge, which we really needed after a long drive! The kitchen was well stocked with lots of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, tools, spices. Both drip and Keurig coffee makers. Great quality blender, toaster. A couple of Crock Pots. Really, anything you need to make meals and festive drinks. The large dining room table had plenty of room for all to eat together. The spacious bedrooms offered everyone privacy. The common areas were airy and bright with plenty of comfy seating. Smart TVs in each room were great – log into your own streaming apps (but also some free programming built into the TVs). The boys brought their XBox and plugged it in upstairs in the little gameroom/den off the bunkbed room. The beds and pillows were comfy, good quality, and linens were very professionally cleaned and packaged. A starter supply of consumables was provided (TP, paper towels, dish and dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, toiletries). They guarantee a couple of chairs and an umbrella but guessing there have been a couple of new ones purchased, or maybe left behind, and at the time of our stay there were more like 4 chairs, plus a few random beach toys. The umbrella is super nice, heavy-duty canvas. Bring your own beach towels. The 4 provided bikes are nice for a ride, but they don’t include baskets, so we weren’t really able to use them for shopping or going to the beach. The beach is a quick walk when empty-handed, but a bit of a haul when carrying a bunch of gear. There’s a cart, but we weren’t sure what to do with it, because there are quite a few stairs to get from the street level to the beach. Some people left their carts at the top of the steps, but we were afraid to do that since it wasn’t ours. So, we all carried as much as we could and managed fine. That’s when the pool came in handy, because we were super hot by the time we walked back, and it was a refreshing dip before dinner! The pool is a quick walk from the house down a shady lane lined with quaint cottages. There were lots of kids there during our stay. Oh, and it was awesome to be able to bring our 2 small dogs with us! They were comfortable and so happy not to be in a kennel! One of ours is still a puppy and needed to be contained when we were gone. There’s plenty of space in the bedrooms or foyer for a couple of crates. The management team was very responsive. A couple of very minor snags were addressed immediately, no problems. We would definitely stay here again!
