Took my teenage kids for a getaway and found this place to give us a little space for the 3 of us but also affordable. Great Allegiant direct flights from Michigan, rented a car and we were in beautiful Destin for spring break. The boys had the bedroom in the loft with their own bathroom, which they thought was cool. They set up their gaming system at the desk in the main area and said they had really fast internet. My bedroom was on the main level with my own bath, and I really enjoyed the screen porch area with the strand of lights and sound of crickets while they gamed inside. My little slice of peace and quiet. The pool is right outside this unit, though you need to walk around the building to get access – it is big and the boys loved it. Not just some postage stamp pool. We went to the beach which was a short walk. There was a food truck where we got some burgers and ate by the big fishing pond. The beach here is great – the sand is so pretty and cool on your feet. We had one red flag day where we stayed out of the water but another yellow flag day where we had a great time swimming. Kids played basketball on the small court. We also went to indoor glow putt putt nearby and the Baytown Wharf area where the kids did the ropes course. Both were about a mile away, which is important because of the traffic during spring break. We walked to the escape room (really fun!) and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. Kitchen is small but for our family, it was just fine, and my kids liked that this place didn’t look like it was for old people – it is updated with good air conditioning and a large smart tv. They asked to go back, which I don’t hear very often. So we will. Lowell Family, Michigan, April 2024
