Halloween is finally here and the Emerald Coast is showing their spooky spirit. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll definitely want to check out these fun Halloween events in South Walton. With so many costume contests, kids activities, and parties happening, there isn’t any shortage of festivities in town!
1. Witches of South Walton Charity Ride & Brunch

2. Halloween on the Boo-levard
The Halloween festivities begin bright and early in 30A with the Witches of South Walton Charity Ride and Brunch at 7 am. Come dressed as a witch and decorate your bike for a spooktacular bike ride starting at Butler Elementary and ending at Gulf Place. Following the ride, join the Witches of South Walton for brunch at Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar where there will be music, dancing, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and awards for the best-dressed witch and best-decorated broom. Registration costs $50 and the raffle tickets are $5. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Volunteer Health Network in Walton and Okaloosa County.
3. Halloween Movie Marathon at the Hub

4. Trick-or-Treat Street
If you’re on vacation in Destin or 30A and don’t know where to take your kids trick-or-treating, Grand Boulevard at Sandestin is a great place to go. Kids can dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat at the local shops and vendors. There are tons of amazing shops and restaurants at Grand Boulevard, so the entire family can enjoy dinner or shopping afterward.

Love classic family-friendly Halloween movies? You’re in luck because The Hub in Watersound Beach is hosting a fun Halloween Movie Marathon from 6pm-10pm. Bring cozy blankets and lawn chairs to watch “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” and “Hocus Pocus” to get into the Halloween spirit.

Head over to Baytowne Wharf for a huge Halloween celebration from 6pm-10pm. With trick-or-treating, dancing, and balloon animals. Stop by Coconut Kidz for free face painting and a kids costume contest. The spooktacular firework show over the lagoon starts at 8pm. Overall, this is a fun event for the whole family that you don’t want to miss.

Seaside is another great place to take your kids trick-or-treating on Halloween. Head downtown to enjoy live music, face painting, and spooky stories from the REP theatre group. The festivities begin at 4pm, so be sure to come dressed up in your Halloween costume to enjoy the fun Halloween activities.
